Project Overview
Mayne Coatings, a manufacturer of aluminum siding products, is constructing two industrial buildings in Abbotsford, BC, for its manufacturing and operational facilities, totaling over 384,000 sq ft. This industrial facility, one of the largest in Abbotsford, requires the installation of highly automated manufacturing equipment, including an automated programmable industrial crane used to sort and stack materials.
Project Details
The project included the design and installation of three outdoor unit substations (two with a 1500kVA rating, and one with a 2500kVA rating), along with a 175kW generator. There was also the installation of all power connections to the manufacturing equipment, as well as all life safety and non-life safety transfer switches. The scope of the electrical design and installation is a 2-year contract, worth $3.5-million.
