It’s not by accident that Glenco stands as BC’s leading provider of advanced electrical installations. Since our conception back in 1987, we focused on building a company from great people. With collaboration at the heart of everything we do, this founding principle has allowed us to push boundaries, innovate efficient processes, and achieve excellence throughout all of our projects.

For as long as he can remember, Les Coughlan dreamed of owning a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Always being out of his reach, he settled for a 1969 Pontiac Firebird, which he completely restored himself during the early years of his career as an apprentice Electrician, working for an Abbotsford based Electrical Contractor.

Driven by an entrepreneurial aspirations, in 1987 Les set out to start his own electrical contracting company, with another partner that he was working with at that time. To raise enough capital to incorporate his company Glenco, he sold his prized possession: his fully-restored, mint-condition 1969 Pontiac Firebird, for $6,500.

Fast forward 30+ years later, and Les has evolved Glenco from an out-of-truck electrical contractor, to one of the largest electrical construction installation contractors, overseeing some of the largest and most complex projects across BC.

And after building Glenco to new heights beyond anything he could have imagined, he has since fulfilled his childhood dream and built himself the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS he’s always wanted.
